The Innovative
Smoke Trainer LENS
Since SMOKE TRAINER's creation in 2004, we set out to produce a product that would allow firefighters to train in a non-toxic environment, with a product that was easy to use and cost-effective.
Since then, we have expanded our product line to include ones for public education including schools, businesses and airlines.
Safety
Is Our Number One Priority
Safety in emergency response training has been and will continue to be, the instructor's foremost responsibility. Smoke Trainer enhances the total safety of the student by allowing consistent control of the individual's ability and specific objectives. An excellent tool for any impaired visibility training, Smoke Trainer is easily applied, can be removed and changed to IDLH conditions in seconds, and can be used repeatedly. It fits all major SCBA's (SCOTT, SURVIVAIR, INTERSPIRO, MSA, Draeger and ISI).

The History
Behind OUr innovative product
SMOKE TRAINER is owned and operated by Ron Smallwood in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina. SMOKE TRAINER began developing products for the fire fighting industry in 2004 with the introduction of the SMOKE TRAINER Simulated Smoke Lens. Having worked with firefighters for many years, Ron became aware of the difficulty and expense involved in firefighter training. He set out to produce a product that would allow them to train in a non-toxic environment, with a product that was easy to use and cost-effective. Most fire departments use live burns, smoke towers or liquid smoke in their training operations.

Fire Safety
For All
Since its inception, the SMOKE TRAINER has met overwhelming acceptance from the fire fighting industry. Shortly thereafter, SMOKE TRAINER introduced their Public Education – Home Safety Goggle. This product was developed to provide a simple, inexpensive product that allows schools, colleges, Greek houses, college dorms and companies to develop and implement a fire safety plan that is easy and simple to use. Our Public Ed – Home Safety Goggles are also used by the airline industry for in-flight or flight attendant fire safety training, as well as Fire Departments in their Public Education Programs.
SMOKE TRAINER continues to expand its development of new and innovative products related to fire fighting and personal safety industry.
Preparation
Saves lives!
Home fire safety is an issue of national concern. Developing an evacuation plan and practicing a fire safety drill are critical in preparing families for such an emergency.
SMOKE TRAINER, has developed a simple inexpensive smoke simulator goggle that allows families to practice a fire evacuation drill in a safe environment that emulates what smoke in a burning home would be like. This should be an essential part of the Fire Departments Fire Safety Education Program.
Testimonials
"In the Fall of 2019, I set up an interactive puzzle game for our annual Pancake Day in town. Along with other interactive games and giveaways, I set up a Smoke Trainer goggle activity. I went through the activity with a pair of brothers that stopped by my table. The older brother completed it and (of course) the younger brother, a 4-year-old, wanted to do the activity too. Although I had my doubts as to whether or not the younger brother would catch onto the concept, I went ahead and completed the activity and after-lesson.
Fast forward, 2 months later, the younger of the 2 brothers smelled smoke in his home. He quickly woke his parents and reminded them that they needed to "get out fast and stay out". When our crews got to the home, the young boy recounted the experience with the Smoke Trainer goggles and how that training helped him to remember what to do to save himself and his family.
Great job Smoke Trainer! And thank you for helping me teach a lesson that saved lives!!"
